My bracelets will be at the Primetime Emmys!!!

As a member of The Artisan Group I have the opportunity to present my work to celebrities - YAY! I made these bracelets for the Primetime Emmy GBK Gift Lounge Press and Industry Mixer attendees. Eco-conscious, unisex, and a trendy style. Whew, I've never made so many identical pieces before! The materials I chose to make the bracelets with are all sustainable and Earth friendly. I used Aragonite gemstone beads because they are a fashion-forward yellow color, and also because of their metaphysical properties.
Aragonite is a calcium carbonate mineral ~ a grounding stone often used to center (ground) physical energies. It is used in stressful times to stabilize the base chakra, and strengthen our connection with Earth. It encourages the expression of ones energy in words, the arts or other communication channels, and aids concentration, bringing tolerance and flexibility to the mind. It teaches acceptance and patience, especially helpful to those who feel they have too much responsibility. Aragonite provides strength and support, helping to combat anger and emotional stress while encouraging us to find the calm centre in our hearts.
...I believe anyone connected with "show-biz" would benefit from a little of that!

I will be making a few more bracelets similar to these in style, but with different stones and colors. Please leave a comment if you'd like one - and what stone or color you'd prefer. They will be available soon ($17) at Catherine's Jewelry.

Change Happens: NOW I'm ready for it...

...I think. Well, ready-er possibly. I'm reminded of David Bowie's Ch-ch-ch-changes: Time to face the strange - changes (that's a paraphrase/Catherine's rendition... the words I sing along with - you know, like Barry Manilow's "Looks Like Tomatoes"/"Looks Like We Made It") Anyway *deep breath* "Change" has happened. After spending upwords of 4-6 hours every day promoting Etsy and my Etsy shop - and doing pretty well with it, I decided to sever ties with Etsy and instead devote my time to deveolping and promoting my OWN domain/website: www.CatherinesJewelry.com

Before I host a big 'Grand Opening' event, I'd love to have some feedback from you. If you spot something that needs fixing, please let me know - I'm a bit cross-eyed by now, I'm sure I've missed lots of things 8-)

I'm also on the hunt for publicity... towards that end I've already opened a free shop on Bonanza, and I'm building up my Twitter followers and Facebook fans. Do you know of any Blogs or other venues that offer reliable inexpensive publicity? If you do, please share!
